For the WWI Aircraft Enthusiast

Dedicated to building and flying of WWI aircraft

Every two years the GWAA sponsors "The Dawn Patrol Rendezvous" on the grounds of The National Museum of the U.S Air Force at Wright-Paterson AFB, Ohio.   It is a three day air show, open to the public,  featuring WWI aircraft, antique automobiles, reenactors and R/C aircraft.  Every time it's held  it gets bigger and better as the number of WWI aircraft taking to the skies increases.

This event also gives all us "WWI Aviation Nuts"  a chance to get together, see what's new, fly and re-live a time when men first took to the air to fight in these "canvas falcons".

The Dawn Patrol Rendezvous gives the public a chance to see these unique and rare aircraft actually flying.   Held
in the late September/early October time frame our next one is slated for 2011 (so check the  "events & airshows" page and mark your calenders).
